You need a specific driver for your USB to serial adapter. It may not work with Windows 7, 8 or You might try a different monitor as a test to try to narrow down the problem.. Make sure that the computer is on and can get driver updates from on-line sources. My serial hides behind the glovebox, just plug my USB in and done. You also may have to go to device manager, select your usb to serial device has to be connected to pc then go to select default port.

My LC-1 worked perfect when logging under normal mode, but as soon as I use mode 23 it doesn’t log right. I just don’t understand why the one i have works with a terminal program but not with evoscan. That’s what I have. If these links are not allowed, please just let me know.
Real Knowledge From Real People. I would buy a better quality USB to serial. I select COM6 in the software. Then remove the USB adapter it’s between the two battery slots. I haven’t figured out the exact problem, but I should have some aadapter this week to see if it is the adapter causing issues. I used the drivers for the dynex cable from this aadapter. It worked great on the first thing that I tried, which was my CarChip www.
Download the driver file: Click on OK again and close Device Manager. You haven’t had much luck!

List updated, thanks guys. You only need 2 pins and wires seems way uzb just to make it to me. The drivers with some of the ebay ones tend to be a bit more finacky.

Will the zeitronix ZT-3 be able to work with evoscan. However when in EVOScan 2. It was working, then something changed and it’s not. Cut the end off the serial cable and solder the wires directly to the cables.
When I start logging with Evoscan, the serial to usb adapter signal changes from Idle to busy indicating that it is working but nothing then appears in EVOScan next to external wideband except a small x with no values.
Prolink makes one that is used in a bunch of cables Nothing will log properly without Mode Please login or register. Has anyone figured out why one cable works and other’s don’t? Just pick up a serial to usb that works aadapter evoscan. I will be doing the same. Are you a Dynex Computer and Internet Expert?
